Still waiting for my laptop to come back from Dell. If you ever have to go through ‘out of warranty’ service you’ll know the pain I’m in. I had to pay almost $600 for a diagnostic, new motherboard and other little stuff like USB ports. You can almost buy a new laptop with that kinda money these days. So then they send it back and it boots but there is a periodic static sound coming out of the speakers. And the sound grows strong when the GPU is humming.. lovely. So I send it back (It’s under 90 day repair warranty luckily) and I get it back the next morning in the mail. Manifest says that they replaced CPU fan and heatsink. Makes sense but they didn’t spend the time to test this out. It’s like going to see the doctor and having him take out your spleen and send you home without even giving you a customary pat down! Problem persists so they have it again. Once I get it back I hope to have some stuff fixed and running.
If you buy a Dell laptop expect it to break just after your 1yr warranty expires. Murphy’s Law right? Is it actually possible to engineer that principle into a timer device and install it laptops?
I’ve picked up some new games as of late: Dragon Quest Heros: Rocket Slime This game is really cute, my daughter loved this one so much she deleted my adventure log. Tank battles are fun, you can make your own ammo using a synthing system to improve the damage of your tank. It’s cute real-time old school type feel is a great fit for the DS.
Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2
I liked the last one on GBA much better, you actually controlled a very agile Mario and the toys followed him. Too much janky pen action in this one
Hasn’t really grabbed my attention yet.
Bubble Bobble Revolution Do not buy this game for the revolution. Only buy this if you’re willing to spend 30 bux for the old school version. What was codemasters thinking? They screwed up something that could have been really great.. Like New Super Mario Bro’s great.
N3 I picked this up for $25. A pretty good deal I think. I like mindless beat-em-ups and this one seems to have a much more developed fighting system over Dynasty Warriors. Like all games of this type they are 100x funner with a friend. I’m not sure if it supports online co-op.
And speaking of co-op, Gears is just around the corner.
